Foot Health Services and Treatments
Clinical Foot Health Care
All routine foot care includes: Initial completion of your medical history, an assessment of your footcare needs, treatment as necessary, and a complimentary, therapeutic, foot massage. A visual inspection of the feet will be performed upon subsequent visits, changes will be monitored and attention brought to possible high risk foot conditions or abnormalities with next step advice. Foot care and footwear advice will also be offered.
All Diabetic patients are advised, on a six monthly basis, to have a comprehensive Neurovascular foot examination (NVA) to assess sensation, visual appearance, muscle tone and circulation change.
Treatments, where necessary, include :
*Toenail cutting and shaping
*Reduction of thickened nails
*Hard skin, callus and corn removal
*Verrucae treatment *Fungal nail infection treatment and advice
*Treatment of sore, cracked heel fissures
*Bunion care and advice
*Easing of hammer toe problems
